You use this basic barbecue rub for spare ribs, Boston shoulder, chicken or steaks. Use 3 to 5 teaspoons per 500 grams of meat. For a 1,800 gram chicken you can use 1.5 to 2 teaspoons.
If you want a spicier rub, replace part (or all) of the paprika with a spicy paprika.
